| Q: |
By completing the
Recommended Transfer Program (RTP) in NJ
TRANSFER,
will I also satisfy all the course requirements for the AA or AS Degree
at my community college? |
| A: |
Not always. Although many of the course
requirements for the AA or AS Degree correspond to those in the freshman and sophomore years at the four-year college or university, there can be significant differences between the two programs. |

|
| Q: |
If I complete all
the community college course and general education requirements outlined
in the Recommended Transfer Program, will I have satisfied all the freshman
and sophomore requirements for the four-year institution I plan to attend? |
| A: |
Not necessarily. Some
four-year colleges and universities have other requirements, such as demonstrating
proficiency in a foreign language. It may not be possible to reflect these
requirements in the Recommended Transfer Program. We strongly encourage
you to read the text information found at the bottom of the grid on the
Recommended Transfer Program page. Also, if available, click on links
that provide comprehensive information about the institution's academic
policies and requirements. Lastly, we suggest you seek the advice of your
transfer counselor. |
